Small Environment

The Small environment is our entry level server for new customers and small business.  With scalable RAM and Bandwidth to cater for future growth, the initial settings of 256 MB RAM, 10 GB Storage, and 5 or 40 backups per month will maintain seasonal demands and a cost efficient service. Demands on memory  fluctuate, Boost your existing memory on a daily basis in 256MB increments.

Virtual Server Management
As a Continuum customer you can automatically provision a server, allocating resources that best suit your site or application. A useful example of this would be creating a minimal server for development periods and scaling it up for site launch.

Full control over memory and processing, combined with our performance monitoring enables efficient budget control, adding the flexibility to allocate generous resources when things get really busy.

Bandwidth from multiple virtual servers is pooled for billing so reducing your costs. Unused bandwidth is carried over for one month, saving money on busy periods by smoothing usage.

Back Ups & Restoration
You don't just back-up the data, you back-up the whole virtual server including the operating system. In our control panel you can specify when and how often your back-ups happen. The amount of time your old data is kept for is only limited by the storage space limit, or time limit that you set.

Restoration of your backups are available through our control panel at any time. You can either download an individual file, instantly create and swap to a new parallel server from the last snapshot, or restore from an older archive. 

Monitoring
Should our fault monitoring indicate an impending hardware failure or unacceptable server load, we will migrate your virtual server to our standby hardware with no downtime.

In the unlikely case of a more serious fault the downtime will be limited to between 2 and 15 minutes, during which the virtual server is restarted on our standby hardware and it's file system is checked.
