    History

Founded in 2005, Continuum Hosting was born out of the need to have a resilient hosting solution that day-to-day web & IT professionals could directly manage. Our features are aimed at engineers comfortable working within a shell or those with administrator experience.

At the heart of the team is our founder Stephen Beynon who, with 10 years of experience in storage and virtulisation for a multinational company, has developed Continuum into a quality product designed to cope with the demanding world of web hosting.

Stephen in conjunction with Thomas Ashbee of Powder Blue Ltd  wished for a hosting solution that would give web designers and development companies the facilities and tools they need, the ability to manage their web space but without the 'unused yet charged for' facilities.

Powder Blue like many companies were caught between the disappointing low-spec low-cost virtual servers with regular down time, and the expensive physical servers with unrequired capacity. They also despaired at needing to phone an engineer for maintenance or file restoration, so together they conceived of a hosting solution based on high specification servers offering high resilience virtual servers with mirrored storage and a full set of administration tools putting the customer in the driving seat.
